Description:
Oracle Developer with 2-4 years of experience in Oracle Reports and Discoverer in a non R11i environment. Extensive experience writing PL/SQL procedures, packages, triggers. Any experience with Oracle Application Express, Oracle Portal and XML Gateway would be a plus. Apply knowledge of Oracle development tools, principles of data modeling to design and create custom reports and analyze and convert financial and/or manufacturing data into business intelligence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Interact with subject matter experts and identify data elements and business rules to be embedded in the reports and design Discoverer Business Areas.
* Strong in PL/SQL: Create complex packages, procedures, and functions, performance tuning of SQL code to support ETL activities. Knowledge of Oracle Warehouse Builder is a plus.
* Knowledge of advanced SQL techniques like using Analytical Functions, knowledge of Materialized views, designing data models and ability to transform these into physical database design.
* Proficient in understanding and maintaining existing reports and developing new reports using Oracle Reports Builder 10g.
* To support ad-hoc reporting and analytics, be able to design new data models capturing the business requirements for detailed dimensional analytics and have the ability to independently create Discoverer business areas and their underlying detail and summary folders.
* Knowledge of advanced SQL techniques like using Analytical Functions, knowledge of Materialized views, designing data models and ability to transform these into physical database design.
* Be proficient in understanding and maintaining existing Business Areas and developing new summaries, hierarchies and folders using Oracle Discoverer 10g.

Required Skills:

Oracle Reports:
Develop complex Oracle reports that utilize the following:
- Multiple queries
- Multiple groups and levels of repeating frames
- Calls to PL/SQL packages, procedures and functions
- Formula, placeholder and summary columns
- Materialized views
- Format triggers & layout customization
- Lexical parameter
-* Export to Excel
- Oracle Reports deployment in Oracle Application Server 10g

Discoverer:
- Experience with Discoverer Administrator, Discoverer Plus and Discoverer Viewer 10G.
- Work with non Oracle E-Business Applications EULs.
- Design and create business areas to meet business requirements.
- Work with end users to identify most appropriate data and labels.
- Design materialized views and tables for use in Discoverer.
- Use PL/SQL to integrate data sets, perform various calculations and summaries for use by workbooks.
- Maintain joins, hierarchies, item classes.
- Create custom folders and summary folders.
- Create and register custom PL/SQL functions in Discoverer.
- Sharing and scheduling workbooks.
- Know the appropriate usage of Discoverer and its limitations.

Security:
- Setup custom security within Discoverer and Oracle Reports.
- Setup database security within Discoverer.
- Integrate Discoverer with single sign on.
- Administer public and private connections.
- Register Discoverer workbooks within Oracle Portal.
- Administration of Discoverer user privileges.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or equivalent with two to four years related experience and/or training with proven track record; OCP a plus.
- Experience in Business Intelligence, report writing and financial data analytics; be proficient in MS Access, PowerPoint and Word and Advanced in Excel.
